Community Employment and Education

Welcome

Here at Our Lady of Lourdes Community Service Group, over 20 Adult Education classes are run weekly, including core skills, adult education, QQI-accredited courses, and exercise classes.

These programmes support people to return to learning, build confidence, gain new skills, and improve their employment opportunities, while also encouraging greater involvement in the local community. The Golden Girls group also runs every second Monday and offers a welcoming space for people aged 55+ to socialise, stay active, and stay connected within the community.

What We Do

Eric Johnson is the Community Employment Mentor and Adult Education Coordinator with Our Lady of Lourdes Community Services Group. In his role, he supports people from the local community to overcome barriers to employment, education and training, providing one-to-one guidance and helping individuals identify opportunities that matched their goals. He also coordinates adult education and training programmes, working with local organisations and services to create accessible pathways into further education and employment. He is passionate about community development and helping people build the confidence, skills and opportunities they need to move forward.
