Celebrating Our Young People at the Mayor’s Reception
It was a very proud evening for Our Lady of Lourdes as a group of our young people visited Istabraq Hall at Limerick City Council for the Mayor’s Reception, celebrating their success in winning the Limerick Pride of Place Award under the Youth Initiative category.
The reception was a great opportunity to recognise the commitment and involvement of our young people and the positive contribution they continue to make within our community.
We would like to thank all of the young people who came along to represent Our Lady of Lourdes on the evening. They represented themselves, their families and our community brilliantly, and we are extremely proud of what they have achieved.
A special thank you to Mayor John Moran for the recognition he gave our young people and for taking the time to celebrate their achievement. We would also like to thank Limerick City and County Council for hosting the reception and making everyone feel so welcome.
A massive thank you also has to go to the parents and guardians who came along to support the group. Their ongoing help and support, not only on the night but throughout everything we do with our young people, is hugely appreciated. Their involvement plays a big part in helping us continue to provide opportunities and experiences for our young people.
After the reception, we headed out for some food together as a group to celebrate the achievement and finish off what was a brilliant evening.
This award is something everyone involved can be proud of and is a great reflection of our young people, their families and the wider Our Lady of Lourdes community.
Well done to everyone involved!
